Help Needed: Creating Custom Report for Bulk Printing Progress Reports

I know that PowerSchool Special Programs supports the ability to bulk print progress reports, but currently I am not seeing a bulk print option available under our existing reports.

Does anyone know how to create a custom report (List or Multi-Dimensional) that would allow us to select students and then bulk print their progress reports?

I'm looking to build a report that includes progress monitoring data, filters by reporting period, and allows for printing multiple students at once, ideally generating a PDF bundle we can print or save.

Any guidance on setting this up in Report Builder, or enabling bulk print from a custom report, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Printing reports for large (or small) selections of students is part of the base PowerSchool functionality.

Make a Report Card Template or Object Report report card. Then select the students you want to print for and choose Print a Student Report from the Group Functions menu.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. What do you mean it is part of the base PowerSchool functionality? We currently only use PowerSchool Special Programs. I've attempted to follow the process I've seen in a document for Special Programs and we do not have the Bulk Print as a report. Do you happen to know how to create that report?

Thanks again,

Chelsea

You do not use PowerSchool the student information system? I have attached a screenshot of what the Start Page looks like.

We do not use that. Our data will integrate from a system like Skyward.

Once you set up your header selections, select more and it gives you the bulk selections. Select bulk print set up and select the page of the IEP you want bulk printed. You will need to add something to the selection criteria such as last name and must not be empty.

Where do I go to set up my header selections? I do not see where "Bulk Print Setup" is an option in "More".

I found out where the Bulk Print is. How do I set up the report to print sections of the IEP like you have?

Our district has Skyward for our SIS.

Here is what I do.

I created an IEP report. Selected New List Report. Gave it a name, Type of information> Documents>Selected our STATE IEPmodel "Individualized Education Program">Checked Include only the Most Recent Document Per Student> Left the toggles selected> Accept.

Go into your newly created report. I added the Implementation date and end date to the columns.

I then sorted my start date with '>9/1/2024 to pull on the IEPs that I wanted.

Now I go up to more and select Bulk print report.

I select Goals and Objectives. Selection Criteria cannot be empty or it will not run. I add 'Last Name IS NOT EMPTY'.

Scroll down and Include only the 'Most Recent Document Per Student' and how you would like it printed.

Keep in mind when I sorted this it will give me all students in the district and for the entire year.To sort this report you can add a location column to sort by school. For ESY you can add a different filter to sort the date column. You can also add a grade field if you would like to sort per grade.

Hopefully this helps you.
