Either Global or Location Due Date set in the past, Circulation is not allowed.

When I try to do anything in the L4U program I keep getting the message “Either Global or Location Due Date set in the past, Circulation is not allowed.” I’m able to check the status of a book but I can’t add or check out books. I can’t do inventory either.  If I remember correctly, last school year we had the same issue.  I kind of remember how to solve the issue. The problem with that is that whatever I did to fix the problem last year also deleted the last order of new books that I entered into the system.  I had to enter them manually after. I’m afraid to “fix” the issue myself because I could end up deleting all the books that I entered manually last school year and that was over 1,000 books. Any ideas on how to solve this problem without deleting the books? I tried to contact L4U but I’m not getting a response.

Hi @RSDtech,

The issue should be solved by changing the Location Due Date and Global Due Date to a future date.

The district's Designated Support Contacts can update these under Admin settings.

How do you change the location due date and global due date?

Hi @lesleytaylor

If you have Admin permissions, you can change the Global and Location Due Date in your Preferences under Admin Settings and save them. However, if you are not an admin you would need to reach out to your district Admin directly to do the same.

Hi @lesleytaylor

If you are an Admin and still cannot access the Location Preferences under the Admin Setting tab, you would need to reach out to the district's Designated Support Contact to check your permissions and security settings and update them.
