We have teachers that are utilizing the Canvas grade sync to PowerTeacher. These teachers are utilizing the Standards auto-calculate feature in PowerTeacher Pro. They have noticed that grades from Canvas will not auto-caluculate standard scores. Is there a solution for this?
Hi @ajmccormack,
Thank you for posting in PowerSchool Community!
Since Canvas uses the API, we would need to look into the data that is being sent to PowerSchool from Canvas to troubleshoot the issue further. We recommend reaching out to the Designated Support Contacts within your school district. They can help you in getting connected with the PowerSchool SIS Support team to look into this further.
This is important. I want to add it to feature suggestions. Is it out there somewhere?
Hi @KaeliChae
If you looking to add an idea within the PowerSchool Ideas Portal, you should be able to add them here.

I have looked at this response as we are having the same issue at our school. I am not sure what you are asking about the API. The traditional score is passed from Canvas to Power School. Showing how many points awarded to how many points the assignment was worth.
Power School is not auto calculating that information based on what the school district has put into place. This makes it so teachers are doing double work when grading in canvas and then having to come into Power School to grade the standards.
This is a issue with power school not canvas and what it is passing over.
Can you please help us out with this.
Thank You
Hello @Lycettja,
Thank you for reaching out in the PowerSchool Community! Canvas and Powerschool communicate through the API. In this case, we would need to determine if Canvas and Powerschool are not receving/transferring information to each other.
In this case, we suggest to reach out to the PowerSchool Support team. They would need to look at both systems to determine the root cause of the issue and work towards a resolution. You can work with the Designated Support Contact(s) at your school or district and have them submit a ticket on your behalf.
