What are the steps for recommitting the schedule? Does anything need to be done to prevent duplicates on the live side if recommitted?

You can recommit the schedule. Please prepare a backup before the following steps. You will need to contact your PowerSchool admin for the backup to be performed.
No additional steps are needed.
If your teachers are showing 0 students in class and there are no schedules for any students it is then recommended to Run the Reset Class Counts and Reset the Section Meetings. Both of these are special functions.
