Good afternoon,
I am a SIS admin for Irwin County School Systems of Georgia. I am creating the schedules for grades k-5 and I want the schedule to reflect the correct sequence of events as far as subject changes during the day. The problem that I have in attempting to do so is that all grade levels have different bell schedules. The way our system has been setup prior to me arriving in this position is with one bell schedule. My question is: Can we have different bell schedules in the same school, that will concur with their respective grade level.
Hi @MosesBrown24,
The ability to create multiple Bell Schedules for specific grade levels for a single school is not built into PowerSchool SIS.
You can create multiple periods in a bell schedule and make those periods to be grade-specific. This will depend on the requirements and restrictions set by your state's State Reporting Guidelines.
For more information, please reach out to your district's Designated Support Contact who should have access to the necessary resources.
This is a good candidate for an enhancement request.
What Kind of enhancement?
@MosesBrown24 An enhancement to PowerSchool. Currently, you can have as many Bell Schedules as you like in a building, but you can only use one per day.
Got it, Thank you.
Any idea if this still can't be done? My district wants our middle school to have 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade to have two bell schedules throughout the day that start/end at the same times. Is the only way to create one bell schedule and have grade specific "blocks"?
Thanks
Hi @aamaral,
Our product team reviews the requests and based on the votes they receive and some other criteria, they decide if this could be built. I am sharing the enhancement requests for this feature here so that everyone who needs this can upvote.
