Job Posting Not Showing on Indeed

 

Indeed has multiple policies in place that could prevent your posting from being approved by Indeed. If some of your postings are showing and some aren't there is a chance that your posting is going against one of these policies. (Click the policy titles below to read the full Indeed policy.) 

 

  • Low Quality Descriptions 
    • Policy: Indeed does not allow job descriptions that do not contain relevant details about the role or are unclear.
High Quality Descriptions

  • Low Quality Job Titles 
    • Policy: Job titles that contain extra information, clickbait, or symbols may require sponsorship.

Job Posting Standard Description 
Jobs and only jobs Example: Training Opportunities, Multi-level Marketing, Expired Jobs etc
Accurate and Detailed Information No deceptive, generic, misleading, or missing job information.
Jobs opportunities cannot incur a fee to the job seeker Job seekers should be provided with job opportunities at no cost.
Job posts must not contain offensive content Job posts should never include offensive content.
Discrimination is strictly prohibited on Indeed Job seekers should be evaluated based on their skills and experience rather than factors that do not affect their ability to successfully perform the functions of the job they’re applying to.
Search results can't be manipulated Jobs will receive lowered visibility if employers are found attempting to maliciously or intentionally manipulate search results. 

 

  • Reposting
    • Policy: Excessive, habitual job reposting may result in lowered visibility for your jobs.
      • Example: Manually posting a copy of a recent or existing 

 

 

  • Recruitment-Based Companies
    • "All recruitment-based companies or entities in the United States and Canada are required to sponsor their jobs in order to receive visibility."

If your posting does not go against any of Indeed's policies and your postings are still not showing on Indeed, please contact Indeed directly. District Admins can chat with their team directly through their account by following these steps: Contacting Indeed, or call our main line directly at 1-800-475-4361.

 

Indeed Support should be able to assist in determining why your posting is not live and will also be able to tell you if your district falls under Indeed's 'Sponsored Jobs' category. If your district does need to have the jobs sponsored then the Indeed Support would be able to assist in setting that up.
