School spring job application before recommendations are added

I want to apply for a job, but I am still waiting for my references to write a recommendation.  Can I go ahead and apply? Will they be able to add it in after I apply? Will this look unfavorable to the employer?

We recommend reaching out to the school district directly, as it is dependent on the school. If you are looking to apply now you could call the school and ask or you could create a word document as a placeholder stating that the recommendation is in progress and that you will provide it when it's complete or upon request.
