Are there any changes to Elementary Report Cards for Term 2 during Covid-19?
At this point they have not indicated that there are any changes to the elementary report card or the marks that would be entered.
They are considering allowing a mark of I for grade 11 and 12 courses, but a final decision has not been made. Alpha marks are not currently accepted by OCAS/OUAC.
What if a strand of a subject wasn't taught this year? Will there be issues with OnSIS if a strand is left blank or should something be entered?
During the Job action by teachers, Term 1 marks were not entered. Will this be an issue when we do our June OnSIS?
The Ministry is reviewing their business rules to ensure that any causing problems for a school to report will be adjusted. Missing marks in a few strands should be ok, but if the client experiences error messages in Trillium, they can use the Error/Warnings Preference page to change the error to a warning so the information will pass through to the transmission file.
At the TUG the Ministry indicated that if clients encountered errors in June regarding missing achievement information they should contact the OnSIS desk and they would work with them to get the information reported successfully.
Thanks,
Sherry Pfeffer
