The coronavirus pandemic is having a profound effect on our communities, our families, our way of life, and the education opportunities of our students. During this time of uncertainty, I wanted to share what PowerSchool is doing to provide help so you can continue to give students access to the education they deserve while staying safe and healthy.
- The health and safety of our employees and customers continues to be a top priority. With this in mind, we have encouraged our entire global team to work remotely, using video conferencing while limiting all travel and canceling our key customer events. We already have a highly distributed workforce that are used to online collaboration, and the transition has gone very smoothly.
- We are also working to ensure that all PowerSchool solutions and supporting functions continue to operate as usual, providing you with the support and service you need during this critical time. We have also added more cloud hosting and resources for the 15+ Million students in the US who are currently using our remote learning solutions, including Schoology, Performance Matters, and Unified Classroom, which are all experiencing a significant increase in usage during this time to enable teachers across these schools and districts to provide instruction and stay connected with students and parents.
- We have heard from countless customers wanting to implement new or expanded distance learning programs using Schoology to provide continuity of learning and engagement in their district. We have put together several options to support the different needs and situations of our schools and districts, including fast track rollout and deferred payment for new implementations as well as training and resources for best practices for distance learning.
