Delete an assignment for only some class

I have an assignment that I created for 6 classes, but only some classes were actually assigned the activity. I would like to delete the assignment for the classes that did not complete the assignment. I follow the instructions in the help files: open the assignment, uncheck the classes for which I *don't* want to delete the assignment, click delete. When I click "confirm delete" it still wants to delete the assignment for all the classes. I don't know what I'm missing here. Can anyone help?

@kjmatthews If you are using PT Pro, you do not delete the assignment at all. Edit the Assignment, and uncheck the classes you want to REMOVE the assignment from.

Do you know if you can recover an assignment that has been deleted?  One of your teachers had her student teacher delete an assignment that was assigned and graded.  Can it be recovered?

@chessskokie Unfortunately, no. PT Pro only has one "save slot," so if the assignment was deleted and the teacher Saved anything afterwards, the assignment is lost.

The only way to recover it is a PITR (Flashback) and that is the absolute nuclear option as ALL work done on the entire server that was done past the time the data is flashback to would be lost.
