  • Disable the Windows Firewall Profiles.
  • Disable hyper threading. To turn off Hyper threading:
    1. Reboot the server.
    2. At the start up, click the special key to allow access to the BIOS setup mode.
    3. Under Advanced Setup, find the Processor Hyper-Threading or Processor feature.
    4. Disable hyper threading.
    5. Save and exit. Server will reboot upon exit. Contact your server's manufacturer should you require further information or assistance.

2. Remote Access to Your Server

When working with PowerSchool Services to check Minimum System Requirements and/or install PowerSchool, it may be necessary for the Services representative to remotely access your PowerSchool server or another computer. A PowerSchool Services representative will remotely deploy and/or administer assistance to your use of PowerSchool with the use of Bomgar remote access software.

There is no software installation required on your server/computer prior to your session with PowerSchool Services, however, upon determining that remote control of your PowerSchool server or another computer is necessary, the Services representative will provide you with instructions on connecting to Bomgar via a browser or via email.

3. Requirements

Your PowerSchool Services representative will work with you to make the remote connection.

Questions concerning this information should be directed to your Implementation Project Manager.  Otherwise, please proceed to SIS Installation Step 2c: SIS Installation Request once the tasks have been completed.
