We're hybrid. MT, ThF, and an all-virtual option for now. All of the sections are parsed by Tracks in PowerSchool SIS and we also have them in Special Programs for each Track to ease searches, selections, attendance, and to be able to track the performance of students in those cohorts via tools like Performance Matters.
What is the best way for teachers to build master sections in Learning and have the connection back to PS SIS? I think the bottom line is teachers want to have altered due dates for assignments, but there can be a lot more.
Let's have a discussion!
Hi @jlehman
Thank you for reaching out for assistance through PowerSchool Community!
In Community, we have a great knowledge base article that will walk you through Creating a Master Class. I recommend reviewing the article for assistance.
Thank you for this suggestion however what we want to do is actually the inverse of this (in a way).
Since our PowerSchool SIS sections are broken up by track (and we doubled down by also enrolling students in Special Programs for each track), we actually want to create Learning Class Pages by track. That way content, activities, assessments, etc. would sync with attendance cohorts (MT, ThF, all virtual) even though students would remain in the same SIS section.
I believe that only section rosters are synced with Learning Class Pages. The only real use of tracks is related to PS SIS Calendar and now in 20.4.3 attendance pages.
