Announcements based on specific sections in Class Pages

I think I know the answer to this but still wanting a confirmation.

So when a teacher makes a master class (manually) and connects PS sections to it via the Roster, he/she gets the ability to share specific information to all/some of those sections. So, when a teacher makes a new announcement, the same ability exists.

But regardless of which sections are getting the announcement, as the creator of the announcement, the teacher sees all of them. Is that right?

All teachers affiliated with the class will see all of the messages/announcesments by default, but can select a specific section from a dropdown to filter the view if they want:

Right. But the kids who are not in that section will not see it, correct? I am sure that is the case but had a teacher earlier really worried about it so wanted to confirm.

You are right.  The students see only things that have been tagged for their section.
