Can I copy and paste information from another electronic document?

Yes. For example, you can copy and paste text from a Word or WordPerfect document directly into the appropriate fields in the application form. Prior to copying and pasting, please remove formatting – such as bullets or styling – as these will not copy over. The easiest way to do this is through the following steps:

  1. Open Wordpad or Notepad, depending on whatever is available on your computer.
  2. Copy the text from Word or WordPerfect and paste it into Wordpad / Notepad. You will notice that this strips out some of the formatting which may not be compatible across all word processing software.
  3. Copy this stripped text from Wordpad / Notepad and paste it into the site. You have now pasted in a cleaner copy of your text, which will reduce the number of possible errors.
