Unified Classroom Feedback / Suggestions: Assessment

I have a few suggestions to enhance the assessment activity option.

1. The ability to duplicate a question while creating a new assessment.

2. The ability to save manually entered questions from assessments that we have created in our personal question library (my school is not allowing us to use the whole school library). I wouldn't mind downloading the assessment in the format of a question bank that I can then upload to my question library.

3. Being able to give multiple versions of the same assessment. I have two ideas for this, one being the ability to enter/select a group of questions and have individual students within a class be given different versions of the assessment and pulling a certain number of each category from the pool of questions I wrote or selected. I would also like to be able to create multiple versions, and have them be stored under the same assessment (meaning the same graded item on the scoresheet), but have students be randomly assigned the assessment version.

Thank you for considering my suggestions!

Ashley

Thank you for sharing your suggestions to improve Unified Classroom in the PowerSchool Community!

I have submitted your feature request to the Unified Classroom Product Team on your behalf to create the ability to duplicate questions while creating an assessment, to save manually entered questions from assessments then upload it to the question library, and to have students be able to take different versions of each group of questions on an assessment.

Re: Unified Classroom Feedback / Suggestions: Assessment

This has been a major painpoint for us.  We also use classpages which has the ability to create assessments. Teachers can creata quick formative and summative assessments and easily share them.  The problem is that then we have issues goign into the UC Assignment and Activity list.  Support says that UC assessment is the best practice to use.  The problem is that this tool is for district benchmarks.

Agree with everything here AND how about the ability to share assessments with other teachers!

I have submitted a feature request to enable the ability to share assessments between teachers as well as placing an emphasis on the feature requests provided by @alacasse.

Re: Unified Classroom Feedback / Suggestions: Assessment

So many great ideas!  We've also had teachers ask to whole assessments in the bank in addition to the bank of questions from the previous year.  Some teachers spent a lot of time creating tests and want to just choose that test from the bank rather than having to rebuild it from their questions.

Hi @nsarver

Thank you for posting this on our PowerSchool Community! We appreciate all the suggestions and feedback we have been receiving.

I will submit a feature request to the Unified Classroom Production Team who will review this request to let teachers add whole assessments in the bank in addition to the bank of questions from the previous year.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further queries/suggestions.
