I can't express how tremendously disappointed I am. I've been so happy with PowerSchool Learning as our LMS, but these last three days have been insufferable - I have a ton of faculty and student emailing me endlessly that they can't do anything! In the meantime, I'm hearing lots of nice things about Schoology, Zoom, and Google Classroom ...
In the same boat! I'm the tech coach for our district and my entire day (literally from when I wake up until night) is spent fielding emails and phone calls about the program. Parents who are trying to legitimately help their children with work are getting hit with more stress in this already highly stressful time.
Our faculty are literally abandoning Unified Classroom and Class Pages for Google Classroom like rats on a sinking ship.
It is the same with the faculty at my school. We already had a number of faculty who had migrated to using Google Classroom before this all started because of glitches and poor performance in Unified Classroom PowerSchool Learning this year. They find Google Classroom easier to use as well. It is a shame that after all the fixes of the last week, that PowerSchool Learning is actually seeming to perform better than ever. But, I am afraid it is now going to be very hard to put the genie back in the bottle and get the faculty to start using Unified Classroom Pages again. I am also concerned that the increased bandwidth/"cloud presence" that was obtained to meet this emergency is possibly only going to be in place until the end of the year. I sincerely hope that is not the case and it will continue after the emergency is over. Pages still aren't quite as fast loading as Google, but for the moment they are running a close second. If PowerSchool goes back to an average of 12 seconds to load pages like before this all started instead of the current couple of seconds, there is no way I am going to be able to convince faulty that the ease of grades automatically being entered into PowerTeacher gradebook offsets the ease of use and speed of Google Classroom.

I wish PS would be honest and say we are in over our head and this won't be fixed until ...insert date...
I'm writing from Indiana, where schools are now closed until at least May 1. Our teachers, students, and families can't take months of this. We need to know if we should start solely relying on other products.
