Part A, Part B Assessment Questions

Part A, Part B Assessment Questions

In the process of recreating state standard tests in the Assessment platform in UC we are looking to mirror our state test. Currently we are unable to have questions that are answer dependent on each other.

For Example:

Part A needs to be correct to get credit for Part B.

If Part A is wrong, then there is no points awarded for the question no matter what happens in Part B.

Has anyone figured out how to do this?

Re: Part A, Part B Assessment Questions

Thank you for the clarification!

Currently, the exact match option is not available with multiple question items.

I have submitted a feature request to the PowerSchool Product team on your behalf to add the exact match option in multiple question items. We thank you for your suggestions to improve Unified Classroom for all users.

Thank you for your post in the Community!

There are multiple scoring types that can be chosen for each question created in Unified Classroom.  I have listed the scoring types below.  When creating a question, you want to select a scoring type.

  • Exact Match - All parts of the question must be answered correctly to receive a mark.
  • Partial Match Per Cell - Each correct cell will be scored will be awarded an individual score.
  • Partial Match Per Cell - Max Score - Each correct cell will be scored individually, and the overall question score will be divided between cells.
  • Partial match Per Element - Each correct response element will be awarded an individual score.
  • Partial Match per Element V2 - Each correct response element will be scored individually, and the overall question score will be divided between responses.

Re: Part A, Part B Assessment Questions

So for one item that has two questions, We don't have the these options:

  • Partial Match Per Cell - Each correct cell will be scored will be awarded an individual score.
  • Partial Match Per Cell - Max Score - Each correct cell will be scored individually, and the overall question score will be divided between cells.
  • Partial match Per Element - Each correct response element will be awarded an individual score.
  • Partial Match per Element V2 - Each correct response element will be scored individually, and the overall question score will be divided between responses.

We have for scoring type

  • Partial Match per Response
  • Partial Match

Neither option allows the questions in the item to be connected.
