How will the migration to the self-hosted environment take place?
TSG will obtain a copy of your PowerSchool database from the PowerSchool-Hosted environment, remotely install PowerSchool on the server you provide and migrate your instance to the self-hosted environment. The database transfer will be validated to ensure all data is intact after the service is completed.
Is it mandatory that I complete my scheduling process and/or perform the end of year process before the migration?
No, the migration to the self- hosted environment can occur at any time of the year.
Once I have purchased the service, how long will it take before I am migrated?
Depending upon the availability of TSG resources, the migration process may require as little as a few days to complete, but typically benefits from a week or more of preparation.
How long does the migration take?
The duration of the migration to the self-hosted environment varies from customer to customer and cannot be predicted prior to its initiation. While the update can be completed in as little as a few hours, conditions and circumstances outside of TSG's control or influence may prolong the procedure.
