Re: Single Sign On Error iOS Mobile App

@JesseB3  If a school or district is experiencing an issue with single-sign-on, we do recommend the Administrators work with PowerSchool Support to further troubleshoot.

@jamiem7 My bot-senses are tingling. I think you might be a bot.

Re: Single Sign On Error iOS Mobile App

I apologize you feel this way. I can ensure you that I’m not a bot and I have been working to our PowerSchool SIS and Mobile teams regarding the common troubleshooting steps for single-sign-on issues as well as any known issues.

With there being different reasons for the parents and students to experience difficulties, we do want to encourage them to work with their school or district. This also ensures personal information that may be needed to review a user’s account is shared directly to the school or district.

I did reach out to you in a private message to share more information for the case reported in your school district since your are an Administrator working with Support. You can view this message by selecting the envelope at the top right of the page.

Re: Single Sign On Error iOS Mobile App

According to PowerSchool's release notes for ver. 20.4.5.2 released 11/16/2020 and rolled out to hosted customers on 11/21/2020, the mobile app single-sign-on issue has been resolved.  I was notified by PowerSchool Support yesterday evening (presumably because this thread illuminates their lack of care for paying customers) that the issue was resolved and I needed to refer to the release notes; rather than sticking to their promise of keeping me apprised of developments and changes.

We tested our student sign-ins this morning and were able to successfully sign in for the first time since JULY!

Here's a screenshot and link for the referenced 20.4.5.2 release notes.

Aside from being updated by support well after-the-fact, I'm glad our 1000+ student population can finally use a product we pay for.

Re: Single Sign On Error iOS Mobile App

The issue that was experienced in JesseB3's district has been resolved.  If you are continuing to experience an error message, you'll want to work with the Administrators at your school or district to look into the server being accessible and confirm the mobile app is enabled for users.  The Administrators will also be able to review your account settings and work with PowerSchool Support for any further troubleshooting.
