PS App iOS v2.8 error message: Can't connect to Mobile Cloud

 

I'm on the App iOS v2.8 and am getting this error messsage:  Can't connect to Mobile Cloud.

 

Before opening a ticket with support, I wanted to see if anyone is having the same issue?

 

We're an iPad school.  Our students need to be able to access PS on their ipad.

I am happy to let you know that the PowerSchool Mobile App Developer team was able to resolve the issue causing the "Can't connect to Mobile Cloud" error.  Please let us know if you continue to experience an issue when logging into the Mobile App.

Did you get this resolved?   I have 1 student with the same issue on his ipad 13.1.3

No resolution yet!    I did find that students that log-out then back-in experience the error message.  Those that are logged-in already (are good, of course)!

Same here. Parents/Students are complaining of the same issue.

I'm a parent and can't get into the PowerSchool app on my Iphone.  I receive the same message -"Cannot Connect to Mobile Cloud" - when I try to put in my child's disctrict code.

 

Any word on a resolution?

The work around, as some of you may know, is to use the browser to log-in to the parent/student portal.  We directed our students to use any browser to log-on and they were able to access their account.

 

https:/xxxxxxxxxxxxx.powerschool.com/public/home.html  where xxxxxx is the school web info.

 

I did open a ticket with PS suppport and it was escalated to higher levels so they may be aware.

We have notified our constituents to use the website as a workaround. I assume it's something with the most recent iOS app update.

 

Has anyone created a case with PowerSchool for this issue?

@reynoldsn Thank you for reporting the issue and updating the thread with a workaround.

We have reported this issue of users receiving the error message "Can't connect to Mobile Cloud" when trying to log into the PowerSchool Mobile app.  The PowerSchool Mobile App Developer team is currently looking into the issue and working towards a resolution. 

We will provide updates in this thread when we have further information.
