Hi there - Today we seem be facing issues when teachers try to download files submitted by students for their assignments. They keep getting the error message I have attached here. some of them are unable to download anything while others can only download partial files. I have already created tickets with PS Support but if anyone has had a similar issue or has a solution we'd appreciate it.
I am sorry to hear that you are receiving an error message while downloading the submitted files. Please try downloading once again and if not I would suggest you to re-upload the document and check if the file gets downloaded.
Hi there - When teachers are already stressed due to the closure and virtual learning scenario challenges, expecting and suggesting to them to ask students to re-upload files for assignment submissions is absolutely ridiculous. I am really curious as to why this problem existed in the first place. Some insights would be much appreciated.
I agree. It's ridiculous to have to ask teachers, already stressed and frustrated to just "keep trying". It's an embarrassment that the teachers have to pay for, when the site should be sorting this out immediately.
Hi there - These issues continue. Teachers can see some student files without any problems but others show a grayed out link that when pressed, gives the error message I have shared earlier on this thread. Example of grayed out link below. Thank you.
Our team is continuing to work on the issue that is causing intermittent errors and slow loading times while attempting to access assignments with uploaded attachments or uploading content on PowerSchool Learning. We apologize for the inconvenience as we know this is an important time for online Learning. I recommend continuing to work with PS support for immediate assistance regarding the document download issue. Our development team will provide updates and assist you further.
We are experiencing the same issue. We cannot request students to resubmit. As a previous poster said, there is already enough stress and confusion with transitioning to eLearning.
Please get this resolved!! It's happening intermittently, but for many teachers.
We understand the importance and need for urgency in restoring this feature. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and we are working diligently to restore this functionality as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience while we collaborate on reviewing this with the product team to better your experience with our products.
Thank you. Please report back any update on this front. We work on a Sunday-Thursday schedule so I am pretty sure teachers will be using this feature again today. Thank you.
Resubmission by the student is not a working solution.
Teachers are gaining frustration and are contemplating moving to Google Classroom. This needs to be resolved or as a district we will not see the reason to continue this contract if our teachers are not using the product.
I am having the same problem and it's extremely frustrating as my class is based off of being able to upload and download images.
Isn't there a way to get help for this? As a long-paying member of this site?
I continue to be unable to access student work of many students from my Dropbox. Sometimes it seems a random selection of students - some recent, some older that I have seen before.
The PowerSchool Learning Product team is aware of this issue and is currently working on a solution.
Currently, the only known workaround is to resubmit the assignment. This may not be ideal, but it may be an option that works for you.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while the team works toward a solution
It's okay if there is problems outside your control as a company, but please take into consideration that people are using the site in real time, with real people, and having to deal with these problems, and take responsibility for them, on your behalf.
It would be useful, as people just waiting for the problem to be fixed, to at least me made aware of what might be going on, and when the problem might be solved. That way we can arrange how we communicate to our students accordingly...
I agree with the previous poster. Can we get some details?
Most importantly, will the files that cannot be downloaded at some point become available for the teacher? Or, once the problem is fixed will it only be for files submitted from that point on?
We are also experiencing this problem and it is very frustrating for our teachers and students. Our teachers are going to stop using PowerSchool Learning for assignments if this continues and could change our future plans if teachers lose trust in your LMS.
You think they'd check here often
I'm not going to take the time to create a case when its such a widespread issue. They should know.
