Awarding credit for failed or incomplete final grade

This is our first year with PowerSchool and I'm noticing that students who have failed a class or received an incomplete are earning credit when they shouldn't be. Since we are standards based, a 2.5 is considered passing. Is there a way to fix this?

I did finally find this and when i went to our grade scale our F was marked with a grad credit. I have corrected this but not sure this is the fix. 

When setting up a grade scale item, users have the option to check the setting, "Earns graduation credit."  This setting indicates that when grades are stored, the credits associated with the grade are awarded.

For example, a section is worth 2 credits. If a student receives an "F" in the class, you may not want this student receive the 2 credits. In this case you would not check the box, "Earns graduation credit?" for the "F" in your grade scale.

Similarly, if you would like to award credit for grades, such as an "A" or a "B," you will want to check the box, "Earns Graduation Credit."

This setting is independent of Graduation Sets and Graduation Requirements.

Since Standards and traditional grades are different and you store traditional grades but do not store standards grades,  we would need to look at the setup to understand how they are set up within your district and troubleshoot the issue further.  We recommend reaching out to the PowerSchool SIS Support team to look into this further and help you in resolving this.
