Weekly Distance Learning Meet Ups!

Hello All! 

As we continue to strive to stay connected and support one another we are asking that you join us for a weekly Distance Learning Meet Up as educators share strategies they are utilizing for Distance Learning in their schools and districts using the PowerSchool Learning platform during this time.

Educators will be joined by Mike Lawrence, Senior Director of Educator Engagement at PowerSchool as host. We will invite other members of the community to share their own best practices and experiences during this weekly Meet Up as well through May 5. We're also hosting a weekly Distance Learning Meet Up on Friday for those using Schoology.

March 31 - Educator Spotlight: Glen Warren

Glen Warren is the Encinitas Union School District Director of Literacies, Outreach, and Libraries, in other words, he is the LOL Director. He is advancing true personalization of student learning through the integration of multiple literacies including media literacy, information literacy, digital citizenship and design thinking. He co-wrote the California Model School Library Standards and the California Career Technical Education (CTE) standards for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. Glen is an Orange County Teachers of the Year, California Semi-finalist Teachers of the Year, and was recently recognized by the California Reading Association with its first ever Literacy Leaders Award for 2018. The ultimate goal for his work is to revive and advance the LOVE of learning!

Thank you for the clarification.  The recordings of the "Weekly Distance Learning Meet-Ups" are not yet posted.  Once those recordings are posted, you will receive an email notification.
