Content Sharing with PS Learning

We at PowerSchool know that you are trying to find ways to keep students engaged and feeling a part of the school community. We also understand that there is unequal access to technology; your peers can help you adapt platforms for best use on phones vs. Tablets, etc.

Here’s a forum and discussion board to “steal” your peers' best ideas and offer your best to them. There’s no need for anyone to feel like he or she is on an island, we can get through this together.

For example:

Share your activity ideas: One teacher in California is proposing a virtual spirit week and inviting students to post photos

Teachers are delivering daily schedules coupled with a morning recorded message.

Goal - Give IT Admin, Teachers and Support Staff a forum to share resources to amplify student learning.

Re: Content Sharing with PS Learning

Hi,

Can PSL class or content be shared to someone that does not have a PS or PSL account?

Re: Content Sharing with PS Learning

That's a great question @StephanieZ2 and it really depends on how you share it.

In order for another Teacher to use the shared content with students, they must have a PS Learning account.  However, if you export the course as Common Cartridge, the new Teacher could import the course, make some adjustments for style and keep moving forward.

You can also just share the content with anyone by simply making the entire class visible to the world.  It doesn't share any user content like discussion boards or assignments turned in, but it could be helpful as a resource.

Hope this helps!

Re: Content Sharing with PS Learning

Thanks for clarification. That makes sense to me after I have almost checked through the community regarding sharing or export class. And also what I need is just to make class visible to all users on web that you mentioned. That’s really helpful to our needs.
