Re: Co-Teachers

Hi! @lholmes

Thank you for posting in the PowerSchool Community for assistance!

To provide better assistance, would you please share the name of the PowerSchool Product in which you would like to export all co-teachers in a section?

Re: Co-Teachers

Hi @lholmes,

Thank you for providing this information.

Were you referring to the ability to mass assign the Co-teachers to multiple sections?  If yes, then there is no method for mass adding co-teachers to multiple sections.  Co-teaching information is stored in the SectionTeacher and the SectionTeacher table is a virtual table that is not accessible in DDE/DDA.

While logging into the PS SIS portal, you should be able to see the current version of your school below the username and password fields.

Re: Co-Teachers

You're PS login screen may look a little different, but the version is usually at the bottom of the box where you enter your username and PW:

As for exporting co-teachers, it's a little tricky without knowing some SQL to pull data from multiple tables. At our district we pull this info by the sections and we pull both teachers tied to the sections. This SQL below pretty raw, and would likely have to be modified to work in your district, but for us it pulls all sections with teacher and co-teacher (it can be used to help create an Enterprise report or if you have the sqlReports plugin):

select CC.Expression,
            Terms.Abbreviation, Sections.TermID, Sections.SchoolID,
            Sections.Course_Number, Sections.Section_Number, Sections.ID,
            Courses.Course_Name, Teachers.LastFirst as Teachers,
            (SELECT tt.LastFirst
                FROM SectionTeacher stt
                JOIN Teachers tt ON tt.ID =stt.TEACHERID
                WHERE stt.SECTIONID = Sections.ID AND stt.TeacherID != Sections.Teacher AND stt.RoleID > 21 AND ROWNUM = 1) "Co-Teacher",
            Sections.Room, CC.DateEnrolled, CC.DateLeft

    FROM CC, Sections, Teachers, Courses, Terms
    WHERE ABS(CC.SectionID) = Sections.ID
          and Sections.Teacher = Teachers.ID
          and lower(Courses.Course_Number) = lower(Sections.Course_Number)
          and Terms.ID = Sections.TermID and Terms.SchoolID = Sections.SchoolID
          and Terms.ID > '3000'

Re: Co-Teachers

For some reason I can't edit my reply, the last line of the SQL should be:

and Terms.ID >= '3000'

The way I had it would only grab sections from terms that were not full year.  This way grabs everything for the 20-21 school year.

Re: Co-Teachers

It is PowerSchool SIS. I'm having a difficult time finding the current version we are using. Is there an easy way to see that?
