Google Drive iFrame not displaying Files

Summary

We are continuing to investigate the issue preventing users from accessing their Google Drive folders from within PowerSchool Learning. The cause of the issue is that the content is getting prohibited from being displayed within an iFrame due to the Content Security Policy that has been changed from Google. Our team is looking at any changes that can be implemented at our side, and also working with Google to resolve this issue at the earliest. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience while we're working on a resolution.

Workaround

Teachers can continue to use Google Assignments within PowerSchool Learning by providing the direct Google Link

Create a PowerSchool Learning Assignment with a Google Drive Link

  1. Within your Class Page click the Google ZackaryD_0-1635515930506.png icon near the top right of the Page to open your Google Drive Folder. This will open a new tab that will allow access to Google Drive
  2. Locate the desired Google Drive document
  3. Open the desired Google Drive document from your list and select ZackaryD_1-1635516123850.png near the top right side of the page

  4. Select the "Get Link" option to copy the document URL
  5. Navigate back to the PowerSchool Learning tab
  6. Create New Assignment
  7. During the Assignment Creation process click on ZackaryD_2-1635516345307.png  to create a Link to the Google Drive document

  8. Under Display Options - make sure the "Allow students to work online" is checked
  9. Finish filling out the Assignment details then Save

Once completed this will allow all students to access the Google Document within PowerSchool Learning. The Google Document can be opened within a new tab and the student's will be able to access the document to work on the assignment as normal.

Student can submit their own Google Document by providing a link or by directly downloading the file to their computer then attaching it to the PowerSchool Learning Assignment.
