I am using PowerSchool Learning course linked to a PowerTeacher Pro gradebook. When I create and grade assignments in PowerSchool Learning, the grades do not show up for my students in their portal under "Recent Grades."
Have I configured something incorrectly or does this only work when you create your own gradebook in PowerSchool Learning?
It would be really helpful for students to be able to see these notifications in the portal becuase then they aren't relying on an email to draw them into PSLearning, they can simply see that the assignment has been graded when they get to the portal.
Thank you for posting in the PowerSchool Community!
If your PowerSchool SIS is configured to synchronize with PowerSchool Learning, and vice-versa, your grades should synchronize across without any issues. I would recommend reviewing the following Knowledge Base article that covers this topic, and verify any settings that you have access to. Please note that you may need to involve your both PowerSchool SIS administrator and PowerSchool Learning domain administrator (if they aren't the same person) in order fully troubleshoot and resolve this issue.
If you continue to have trouble with grades synchronizing between PowerSchool Learning and PowerTeacher Pro after verifying that the Grade Return settings are enabled, the following Knowledge Base article provides you some steps that walks you through the steps to trigger a Re-Sync of the grade data:
Thanks for your reply. The grade return is working fine. The problem is that when something is graded in PSLearning, students are not seeing that the item has been graded in their "Recent Grades" section of their PSLearning Portal. "Recent Grades" just says "no grades available" even after I have graded an assignment.
Ahh, thank you for the clarification. Because of the nature of the two different gradebooks and the different ways that grades are calculated between them, PowerSchool Learning does not display assignment grades to students when the grades are synchronized to PowerTeacher Pro. In order for your students to see the assignment scores, they will need to log in to your PowerSchool SIS Parent or Student portals either through the mobile app or the web interface.
