So due to this unique COVID-filled year, we as a school decided that parents would have to right to switch from in-person learning to distance learning throughout the year. Each grade had a designated online section where a student that chose to switch to distance learning was assigned. We also moved students to this online section if there were ever quarantined then returned them to school after their quarantine was done. Now that we have reached the end of the semester we ran into issues when storing grades.
Students are now receiving double grades for one class after we stored the grades.
Is there a way to only store the grades for a class/teacher that the student was actively enrolled with at the end of the semester without pulling grades from other teachers of the same class subject?
If the students are switching sections they have enrollment records (date entered, date left) for each of those sections. So they should be dropped from the in-person session when they are enrolled in the virtual section (or vice-versa)
So when you store you can enter a specific date to include active students.
Manipulating any of these fields my get you close. It sounds like you are letting kids bounce back and forth as needed, so the problem you are likely to run into using this option is not being able to capture all of the kids or grabbing too many.
