So, I have a principal that has created a district-wide "class" for teachers. Rather than adding each teacher individually in the roster, she wants to use the code-invite method. How does she do this? And how does the teacher "enroll/join" the class with the code?
Thank you for your post! You have a couple of options. One thing you can do is create a role-based roster class. This would need to be created in Domain Control. If teachers already have accounts, creating a role-based roster class will auto-enroll them in the class. There are some features of a regular class that a role-based roster class does not have, but it may be worth exploring to see if this would be a good fit for what you're trying to do:
If you do want to create a standard roster class and have teachers enroll through an invitation, you can share the invitation URL. Teachers would log in with an existing account and join the class. If they don't already have accounts, you'll need to think about account management (whether users need to be imported, allowed to create their own accounts, etc.).
This article discusses how invitations work:
This one shows how to accept an invitation (this one is about parents, but the process will be similar):
I hope this is a good start. Please let us know if we can continue to help.
