A: Usually, if you are unable to view your Analytics dashboard, that means you've recently been given permission to view the Dashboard but those new permissions haven't been processed yet. It could also mean that you're looking at a new class that hasn't been processed.

 

Please note: This feature is only available to PowerSchool Learning School & District Edition domains.

 

Every night, PowerSchool Learning sends an update to GoodData, the third-party platform that powers our Analytics dashboards. As a result, changes may not take effect until the following day.

For example, if you add a new Domain Administrator to your domain they will be unable to view Domain Analytics until that change is processed overnight (though they should be able to view Analytics while Masquerading in most cases). Similarly, if you add a co-teacher to a class, that co-teacher will not be able to view Class Analytics until the next day.

 

Another reason you may not be able to see Analytics is that the Dashboard is out of date due to inactivity. In order to maintain performance, the Analytics engine will stop updating if it has been inactive for seven days. When you access it after this period of inactivity, you will likely see the standard message that the Analytics engine is loading. Once the Dashboard loads, it may not have any data. The data should be updated shortly, usually within minutes. If it still has not updated within 24 hours, please reach out to PowerSchool Learning Support.
