Searching for an Idea

You can search for ideas using keywords or the idea number in the Search Ideas field at the top right corner of the Ideas Portal.

The idea number is located to the right of the home symbol.  You can view the idea number by selecting the title of the idea to view the details.  The idea number can be shared with other members to allow them to easily locate, vote, and comment on the idea.

It would be great if there was a rich text format ability in PS so that teachers could input unlimited comments for report cards.

Hi @kristycook,

Thank you for your feedback! If you haven't done so already, we recommend submitting a feature idea to our engineers on the PowerSchool Ideas Portal.  You can submit your feature idea here

We would like to have the grid mode available for Journal Entries and Budget Transfers when entering in the add mode and not just the edit mode.

Hi @tmcollins

There has been an idea raised on the Ideas Portal for this request and we recommend other PowerSchool members to vote up this idea - SIS-I-13807 via the PowerSchool Ideas Portal

You can search for ideas using keywords or the idea number  SIS-I-13807 in the Search Ideas field at the top right corner of the Ideas Portal.

  1. Click on the Vote box next to the Idea.
  2. The vote box should change to green and the counter should increase by one.

I would request to give permission to query from database and Oracle Apex to find which contacts of the students have data access in case schools choose to use unlimited contacts structure.

The Ecollect forms design are not user friendly.

1. When contacts element is in non editable mode, please hide the pencil icons and Add buttons in the next releases.

2. When the form permissions are set as allowed for multiple submissions and not on approval process , unless we select a check box Edit Pending Responses there is a message shown as "This form can only be submitted once" in parents view. How is it related ?

3. There is no need to display the code sets which have an End date specified in the contacts element like Phone type Day time.

4. Very limited validations on the fields. Masking is not working on student fields also. If not working please remove them.

5. I suggest provide and Embed tool so that we can validate using html code and element ID's

Hi @Aprana,

These are great items for product enhancements. Appreciate you thinking of ways to improve on the products you use and sharing that with PowerSchool.

The thread that you posted is to explain how to submit an enhancement request.

If you'd like to have these ideas reviewed by the product teams, please post them in the PowerSchool Ideas Portal.

In the ideas portal, you can search for similar ideas so you can upvote ones that already exist. When you submit one as a new idea, you can reach out to peers using the product to have them upvote your ideas if they find them helpful.
