I had a parent call and they are not getting emails about their child from powerschool regarding attendance or anything. Looking at the student side there is an alert that says Display of email notification has been disabled by school. However we have not disabled anything.
Can you tell me what PowerSchool product you are working with?

This issue was resolved in 12.1.1:
PowerSchool Admin - Email When setting a parent's access account to access data and to receive emails, on occasion the emails are not being sent. This issue is now resolved.

The issue with parents not being sent the nightly emails for their students has been resolved PowerSchool version 18.104.22.168. If your PowerSchool system is self-hosted, please apply the upgrade to resolve this issue. If your system is hosted by PowerSchool's Hosting Team and your automatic upgrades are disabled, please feel free to send out a case to PowerSchool Support to request that your PowerSchool System be upgraded.
If, after upgrading to PowerSchool 22.214.171.124, your parents continue to report not being sent emails for their students, please reach out to the PowerSchool Support Team so that one of our awesome Technical Support Engineers can assist with troubleshooting the issue.
My tech tried to update PS today to fix this issue. He received the following message: "The installer for PS 126.96.36.199 is no longer available, PS 188.8.131.52 will be available in the near future. When updating from PowerSChool 12.0.x directly to 184.108.40.206, bypassing 220.127.116.11, some student emails are removed and others that had been previously modified revert to an older format. The issue will be resolved in 18.104.22.168"

My apologies for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to resolve the issue at this point without upgrading to 12.1.1 or newer. Once our development team releases PowerSchool 22.214.171.124, upgrading to that version should resolve the issues that your parents are seeing with the your parent's status emails not being sent out.
Our development team recognizes the importance of this issue and is working dilligently to ship the update as soon as possible while ensuring that we don't run into similar issues again. Once the update is released, your technical contacts should get a Technote announcing the availability of the upgrade.
