I am looking to establish a connection with someone who is currently utilizing PowerSchool for behavior log entries as well as incident tracking/recording. I am relatively new to my position as a school safety coordinator. I am trying to see if my school will be able to solely utilize PS to do these 2 things or if we are going to need additional resources. I am struggling to figure out how to make this work for our school. We are an online school with over 10,000 students and 700 employees. I am trying to determine if we really want 700 people entering incident reports into student records or if we want to utilize another form of tracking for these and then I personally enter them into PS. I would really appreciate any advice/help on this topic.
This is the first year we are using Incidents. We set up to use incidents just for discipline and log entries for everything else. You can set up security so that a group can enter incidents, edit incidents, view incidents, and what group can run incident reports.
How would you advise we enter calls to CPS, police for well checks? Would you advise we use logs for these entries?
Yes, I recommend using them for log entries unless it is a discipline issue.
