PowerSchool Language Codes for SchoolMessenger use

Our district serves students representing over 50 languages.  I would like to set up SchoolMessenger to autotranslate our messages from English to their supported languages preferred by our students' guardian/parent.  SM states PS uses a language code to represent each language and that I need to send them those codes for them to map.  Based on what they were saying it wasn't the typical number codes used by the Indiana DOE that we see in PS but rather another code.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  Thanks!

Re: PowerSchool Language Codes for SchoolMessenger use

Hi Linda_sovacool,

Thank you for posting your question in the PowerSchool Community. The Language Codes that School Messenger is referring to are the language codes that you create when localizing PowerSchool.

For more information about localizing PowerSchool and setting up the localization codes, please refer to the Localization Administration section of the PowerSchool Administrator User Guide. Your District's Technical Contacts should be able to retrieve the guide from the following link on PowerSource:
