Plugin Installation Issues

Hi there, don't know if I am in the correct forum but I will ask my question anyway. I am brand new to PS. Is there any documentation out there that walks through any technical spec's on plugins installation how to's? I'm having problems installing/updating our plugins. Here is the issue "Plugin file contains an unrecognized file: TPS PQ Clever Test/plugin.xml". I am a new Network Admin to the district and would like to learn about the technical aspects of this product. Thank you.

The folder structure within the Zip file is likely incorrect.  It sounds like the compression was initiated at the parent folder level instead (so selecting the TPS PQ Clever Test folder then compressing that into a Zip file).

Plugin Zips should be one level deeper.  When opening the Zip and viewing its contents, you should see something like this instead:

  • [MessageKeys]
  • [user_schema_root]
  • [web_root]
  • plugin.xml

The [ ] indicates a subfolder.  Your content may vary, depending on how the plugin was developed.

Go into your TPS PQ Clever Test folder, then select the contents within, and zip that up instead.

Awesome - This helps me to fix the issue.

I've created a plugin to send data from Data Export Manager to RankOne.  I have created all necessary files and zipped them.  Plugin installs but will not enable.  Message: Query cannot parse SQL.  The sql runs in sql studio and in Apex sql commands.  I am not sure what to look at to fix the issue?

I figured out the issue with the sql and it is no longer an error when installing my plugin.  Now my permission mapping is failing stating Permission mapping refers to unknown PowerQuery us.fms.rankone.ath_studentinfo.flat.

This name is in the named_queries.xml file as well as the permission_mappings.xml file.  I am not sure where else to look?

Hi @Michelle065

We recommend working with our Keys-to-Ownership(KTO) team who should be able to assist you with your permission mapping and help with other requirements. You would want to work with your PowerSchool's Account Owner for the options available with our Keys-to-Ownership team. You can find your PowerSchool contacts by selecting your avatar, the round image at the top right of any page in the Community page, and choose My Profile.
