Performance Matters using a PDF in an answer key only test

How do I restrict students from downloading or printing a pdf test in Performance Matters when using the answer key only function of the test?

Did you try making the PDF an image and then uploading it? That way it doesn't show in Acrobat or Adobe on the side, but it just shows as a regular image.

Edit...just tried this in an AKO test and it won't let you upload that file type. That is what we have done in other tests that aren't AKO though.

Hi @jmooreshs!

The functionality to restrict the students from downloading or printing a PDF test when using the answer key function is a feature within the browser and not Performance Matters.

We suggest referring to the below options:

  1. We request you to connect with the browser's support team to check whether we have an option to disable the option to download or print.
  2. Share an enhancement request to the browser's support team.
  3. Please check to see if there is an extension to add to the browser.

Have you found a solution to this problem? I have the same request. I don't want students downloading my PDF test and sharing it with others, but I also don't want to go through the hassle of creating each question.

Hi @Utuqan

Currently, we do not have a way to restrict students from downloading the PDF. However, this would be a great Enhancement Request!

You can log this as an Enhancement Request on PowerSchool Ideas Portal so that the product team can take a look at this. This article should walk you through how to raise an Enhancement Request.
