Key improvement suggestions for Schoology—including student record transfers, customizable gradebook

I would like to share a few suggestions for your consideration:

1.      Student Class Transfers:
When a student transfers from one section to another (e.g., Grade 8A to 8B), their gradebook records—including assignments, assessments, quiz results, and marks—are not transferred. This creates data loss and inconsistency. Ideally, all student records should follow the student to their new section.

2.      Gradebook CSV Downloads:
When downloading a gradebook as a CSV file for a particular course (e.g., 8A), the exported file contains many unnecessary columns. It would be highly beneficial if teachers could select only the relevant columns before downloading. This would eliminate the need for time-consuming data cleanup operations.

3.      Combined Gradebook for Multiple Sections:
For teachers handling multiple sections of the same grade, there should be an option to generate and download a single consolidated gradebook. This would simplify data analysis and performance tracking across sections.

4.      Assessment Formatting Options:
Currently, when creating quizzes or assessments, teachers apply formatting (such as font size, colors, etc.) individually to each question and answer option. A global formatting option that applies to all questions by default, with the flexibility to customize individual items, would save considerable time.

5.      Bulk Question Import:
Teachers should be able to import a set of questions into Schoology directly using a defined format. The current process of manually creating questions one by one is cumbersome and inefficient.

I sincerely hope these suggestions are taken into account and prioritized for future updates. I strongly believe that implementing these improvements will further strengthen Schoology as one of the best educational platforms worldwide.
