I would like to be able to assign students to a group within individual classes, and then assign to a group instead of manually selecting students.
EXAMPLE:
I have a class with three different music theory tracks, Levels 1, 2 and 3. Each track has assignments and quizzes due on different days, but there are also assignments that the whole class does together. Currently when I create an assignment I need to manually check each student for the appropriate level.
I would like to be able to create a group within my class named "Level 1" and assign things to that group without having to pick each student each time.
Hi @bksbksbks,
Thank you for participating in the PowerSchool Community to improve the PowerSchool products.
I appreciate the idea of this feature that a teacher should be able to assign students to a group within individual classes and then assign things to a group instead of manually selecting students, to be added to the PowerSchool SIS product.
I have submitted feature request and I will share the emphasis on adding this feature which helps to complete tasks efficiently by creating a group and assign all the things to the group.
Thank you again for your valuable data and always feel free to reach us with any suggestions which help in the improvement of our products.
Can I create assignments just for a group with in my class? I have differentiated assignments for online and other types of learners. My district is using PTG 2.8. Thank you.
Hi @okkodo,
Thank you for your post in PowerSchool Community.
You can try creating an assignment and make it exempt for the individual students that it does not apply to would be the only way to accomplish your requirement. For further assistance, we recommend reaching out to the Designated Support Contact within your school district who should be able to connect you with the support team if you would like to.
