The progress of students assigned to interventions may be tracked to determine the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the intervention.

To track student progress,

  1. Click the pencil or magnifying glass icon to the right of the intervention name.

  2. The “Edit Intervention” window opens. Guardian notifications, progress notes, progress points, and a graphical view of the student’s progress may be entered or viewed.

Guardian Notifications

To record notification with the student’s guardian regarding intervention progress,

  1. Select the “Guardian Notifications” tab, shown circled in blue in the following image. Any previous notifications are listed.
  2. To add a new notification, click “Add Guardian Notification,” shown circled in pink in the following image.

  3. Select a “Type” from the drop-down menu indicated by a blue arrow in the following image.
  4. Click the calendar icon to the right of “Date,” indicated by a pink arrow, to select the notification date.
  5. Enter a “Note” regarding the notification.
  6. Click “Add,” shown circled in yellow.

Progress Notes

To add a progress note,

  1. Select the “Progress Notes” tab, shown circled in blue in the following image. Any existing progress notes are listed.
  2. Click “Add Progress Note,” shown circled in pink in the following image.

  3. Click the calendar icon to the right of “Date,” indicated by a blue arrow, to select the progress note date.
  4. Enter a “Note” regarding the progress note.
  5. Click “Add,” shown circled in pink.

Progress Points

Progress Points” are scores the student receives using the “Progress Tool” assigned to the intervention. Each “Progress Point” becomes a point plotted on the intervention “Graph View.”

To add a progress point,

  1. Select the “Progress Points” tab, shown circled in blue in the following image. Any existing progress notes are listed.
  2. Click “Add Progress Point,” shown circled in pink in the following image.

  1. Click the calendar icon to the right of “Date,” indicated by a blue arrow, to select the progress point date.
  2. Enter the student’s “Score” in the field indicated by a pink arrow. The range of points possible is listed below the field for the score.
  3. Click “Add,” shown circled in yellow.

To print a progress point,

 

  1. Click “Print,” shown circled in the following image.

Graph View

The “Graph View” shows all “Progress Points” plotted on a graph.

  1. The red line is the “target line,” which is the score that the intervention is designed to help each student reach.
  2. The blue line is the “aim line” which begins at the student’s initial score and ends at the “target line.”
  3. Each green “x” is a “Progress Point” that has been recorded.
    Click “Print Chart,” shown circled in the following image to print the Progress Points graph.

When viewing a student’s intervention “Plan Overview,” the “Progress” column features a green arrow pointing up, red arrow pointing down, an orange horizontal line, or a blue question mark.

a. The green and red arrow icons are determined by whether the most recent “Progress Point” was above or below the “aim line.”
b. The orange horizontal line indicates that progress in undetermined for the selected intervention plan.
c. The blue question mark indicates that no “Progress Points” have been recorded.
