Formative assessments are tests given to students by teachers to see where the student is struggling and where the student is achieving success.

When and why is this feature used?

Formative assessments are given at multiple points during the school year to accurately measure student growth/achievement. They are created by a group of course teachers throughout a district and they are based on the standards for that district.

  • Formative assessments can be created in Powerschool Assessment and given in Powertest.
