RUNNING STUDENT GROWTH REPORTS

When hovering over Reporting you will want to select the drop-down, Student Growth.  This will bring up a new page which will have 15 drop-downs.  From here, you will pick the parameters of the report you want to run. (Please note:  these selections are permissions based).   For the report to run, you will want to select at least the following:   

  • District  
  • School  
  • Terms  
  • Subject  
  • Metric



WHEN AND WHY IS THIS FEATURE USED?

  • This feature is used to compare two tests, a pre-test and post-test, in order to determine student growth versus achievement.  
  • These tests are usually the PowerSchool Student Growth Assessment tests, which are directly correlated to produce the best reports.  However, district administrators may set up metrics to run against other pre- and post-tests.  

ASSOCIATED PROTOCOL

  • Must have Student Growth Reporting Report to have access to run Student Growth Reports.

ASSOCIATED COMMUNICATION / SUGGESTED RESPONSES

  • The Student Growth Assessments provided for each subject are designed to cover the same standards.  Generally, districts use SGA #1 for pre-testing and SGA#2 for post-testing to measure student growth.

ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The selectable metrics are set up in district settings
  • Permissions are required to access and create these metrics
