Item Analysis Report

Click the “Item Analysis” tab.

1. To print a copy of the exam, click the PDF icon to the right of the exam name, indicated by a blue arrow in the following image.
2. To print the current view, click the printer icon in the top right corner of the report, shown circled in pink.
3. To expand the report to display “Standard,” “Indicator,” “Question,” or “Question Details” data:

a. Click the plus symbol [+] located at the beginning of each data level, indicated with yellow arrows in the following image.
b. Click the “Expand To” drop-down, shown circled in green, and select the desired level of expansion.

4. To print a report expanded to the “Standard”, “Indicator”, or “Question” data, click the printer icon next to the desired data level, indicated with blue arrows in the following image.
5. To view data by question, Bloom’s Taxonomy, Webb’s DOK, or standard, click “View By,” indicated with a pink arrow, and select from the drop-down menu.
6. To display the stem of each item, the percentage of students who answered the item correctly, and the percentage of students who selected each answer option:

a. Click “View By,” indicated by a pink arrow, and select “Question” from the drop-down menu.
b. Click “Expand To,” indicated by a yellow arrow, and select “Question Details” from the drop-down menu.

7. To view the “Student Performance By Question” report, check the box to the left of “Student Performance By Question,” indicated by the arrow in the following image.

*Note: The “Item Analysis” report provides data for up to eight answer choices for “Multiple Choice” items.

Hot Spot,” “Fill in the Blank,” and “Drag and Drop” items provide limited data in the “Item Analysis” report. Data is reduced to icons indicating whether the response is correct or incorrect.
In the “Item Analysis,” a “N/A” appears in the cells for each “Hot Spot,” “Fill in the Blank,” “Drag and Drop” and “Constructed Response” answer choice as shown in the image below. Although “Hot Spot,” “Fill in the Blank,” and “Drag and Drop” items can include a maximum of ten answer choices, only the first eight are represented with a “N/A” placeholder.
