Note: This post is applicable to all states except AL & MS, for whom this release has already been deployed.

The InformationNOW Summer 2018 Release (v8.0.15.24694), along with an accompanying API Summer Update and an Enrollment History Enhancement Core Release, was deployed for PowerSchool-hosted schools and districts during the preceding weekend of August 11-12, 2018. These installation files are now available for download for self-hosted users.

Reminder: No action is required on the part of PowerSchool-hosted customers. These instructions are for self-hosted users only.

Installation Instructions for Self-Hosted Users

**Important Note:

As noted in last week's announcement, before installing the Summer 2018 release, please ensure that you have already installed the following:

InformationNOW Maintenance Release 7.8.10.24288
InformationNOW Health API 3.7.11.24573

To verify that these releases have been applied:

Click the ? icon in the upper right corner of InformationNOW.
Select About, then click the + sign next to InformationNOW.
You may now view the current version of the application, along with any subsequent service builds that have been installed. The InformationNOW Health API version will be listed here as well.

Download and Install the InformationNOW Summer 2018 Release

The steps below should be performed in the order listed. Additionally, PowerSchool strongly recommends that users ensure that a successful backup has been made before running any installation files.

Click here to download the INOW Summer 2018 Release v.8.0.15 install file.
Once the InformationNow Setup 8.0.15.24694.zip file has been downloaded, unzip/extract the .exe file contained within the .zip file.

Note: ALL users should be logged out of InformationNOW before this file is run. It is recommended that IIS be stopped prior to running the build.

Install the InformationNow Setup 8.0.15.24694.exe file on your InformationNOW application server(s).
REMINDER: If more than one application server is used in a district, the .exe file should be run individually on each server.

Download and Install the API Summer 2018 Release

Click here to download the INOW API for the Summer 2018 Release v.8.0.15 install file.
Once the API.Installer.8.0.15.24694_Health.3.7.11.24610.zip file has been downloaded, unzip/extract the .exe file contained within the .zip file.

Note: As with the above installation, ALL users should be logged out of InformationNOW before this file is executed. It is recommended that IIS be stopped prior to running the build.

Install the API.Installer.8.0.15.24694_Health.3.7.11.24610.exe file on your InformationNOWapplication server(s). REMINDER: If more than one application server is used in a district, the .exe file should be run individually on each server.

Download and Install the Enrollment History Enhancement Core Release

Click here to download the Core-180803_24797 install file.
Once the Core-180803_24797.zip file has been downloaded, unzip/extract the .exe file contained within the .zip file.

Note: As with the above installations, ALL users should be logged out of InformationNOW before this file is executed. It is recommended that IIS be stopped prior to running the build.
