Daily Attendance Greyed Out

I am trying to take screenshots to create training for new teachers at my school. Currently the daily attendance button is greyed out. Is this because we are in between years and the upcoming school year is not active yet? Is there a setting I can change to make attendance for the upcoming year show up?

Yes. The button will be greyed out on days no attendance is to be taken for the class, such as non-session days. Also, that image is from the Admin side, which is not what teachers will see at all. The attached screenshot shows the teacher portal homepage.

Set up the school calendar with a Bell Schedule and Cycle day. Mark it In-Session.

Hi Jeff,

I have a question regarding this and I hope you can help me. We have 4 bell schedules in one school; 7th grade A and B, and 8th grade A and B. The calendar is configured to the 7th grade bell schedule, so a few of the 8th grade classes are greyed out (advisory, specifically b/c it has a different period than 7th grade). What is the best way to remedy this? 1. I don't think I can create a second calendar tied just to 8th grade or can I? 2. Should I combine the bell schedules for both 7th and 8th grades? Any guidance would be so appreciated. Thank you!
