Teacher Access to Student Attendance Across Periods

Subject: Inquiry About Teacher Access to Student Attendance Across Periods

When teachers take attendance for their current class, is it possible for them to view a student’s attendance record for previous classes earlier in the day? If this functionality is not currently available, are there settings or customizations that can enable this?

On Powersource there is a plug-in called Attendance Information for Teachers. It puts a red chair next to a student's name if they have been marked with an absent code in class.

We use it and it helps our teachers quickly see which students have been marked absent in other periods. If they click the chair it will show all the periods and which ones the student has an absent code for.

If a student has been marked with present codes all day they will not have the chair icon.

Are we able to get back the attendance showing student's attendance during all periods throughout the day in the same way it was years ago? This has been a common complain across staff members for years. You can click an extra option and scan through attendance of all of your students throughout the day but not in class order. It is much more functional and streamlined to see the class attendance by period by class that was available and allowed teachers to notice if a student was skipping class. How can we reinstall this feature?
