Actually Jason's response is as valid today as it was almost two years ago when he wrote it. You MUST have a Schoology account with some type of educational related institution to access the program. Whether it's a school, university, county office of education, etc. they are the ones who monitors their specific user group. Many schools or districts will inactivate an account when that person is no longer employed or enrolled.

Regarding your PS, if you are able to log in at home or other locations but not the library, etc., they may have some type of filter that is blocking it. It's best to ask the tech desk at the library to see if the Schoology site is blocked.

To best answer the question we really need to know if you are attempting to access Schoology as a Student, Parent or School staff member. Regardless, Schoology is setup by the local school system and you will get the most accurate information from your school officials. They will be able to assign usernames, reset passwords, and other steps that might be necessary to enable access to Schoology for you. If you are not affiliated with a school in some way, you will not be able to access Schoology.

The statement below is not correct now, 10/24/2024, since many retired teachers and teachers who have never worked as a teacher in AL log on for many different reasons. One is updated a teacher's certificate without taking a college course.

'If you are not affiliated with a school in some way, you will not be able to access Schoology.'

So someone needs to update this info.

C. Brown

PS I'm taking a course now on schoology and can not log on depending on where the computer is located and also the browser. I'm having trouble at the public library and using Firefox instead of Chrome.
