Schoology: Want to Bulk Change "Missing" to Grade of Zero

In the Gradebook, if you click on the three dots on an assignment, there is an option in the dropdown to "Mark Empty Cells Missing". My teachers are asking for a way to "Mark Missing Cells as Zero". Right now, teachers must first remove the "Missing" label, and then manually enter a zero for a grade. And they need to do this on every single entry. We are requesting "Mark Missing Cells as Zero" be added to the dropdown so that it automatically removes the "Missing" label, and replaces it with a zero so that it does the entire column at once.

I know this post is old but did you ever figure out any fixes for this? We have the same issue. If a student joins mid semester, the teacher must manually go in and mark every assignment as "exempt". There's no way to bulk edit a bunch of students assignments at once and mark them as exempt, they need to do it one by one.
