Where do I begin to prepare for using Incidents?

I am the new data coordinator in my district. I have been tasked to learn how to use the Incidents section and train on it this Friday. I was just informed tonight..eeek!

Where do I begin? Is there something I need to go setup first? All of the videos I have found only show how to put the incidents in and run reports.

What do I need to do to set up behavior codes and other back end setups?

Make sure what you do in IM does not conflict with reporting requirements. For example, in New York, State Ed manages "VADIR" reporting codes (Violent and Disruptive Incident Reporting).
