New Lockers - Import All Combinations

We are a brand new building and I have over 400 lockers.

Is there a way to mass import all lockers and all 5 of their combinations into locker management or do they need to be manually entered one at a time?

Hi @samielee09

You can mass import locker and combinations through a Quick Import to the Students table.

You will need to Export and Import the data as follows:
Log in to the School and click on 'All' to select All Active Students in that School
In the bottom right-hand corner under the list of Students click the drop-down arrow for Group Functions and select 'Quick Export'
Enter the following fields to be exported:
Student_Number
Locker_Number
Locker_Combination
Click Submit to Export the records

You can then open up that 'tab-delimited text file' in Microsoft Excel, modify the Locker_Number & Locker_Combination as needed
Save the file as a 'tab-delimited text file'
Back in PowerSchool go to System > Page and Data Management > Quick Import
Select the Table = Students
Click Browse to select your file
Click Import button
The next page should have all 3 fields auto-mapped
Towards the bottom of the page select the radio button labeled 'Update the student's record with the information from the file being imported'
Submit the Page to complete the Import

Unfortunately what I am trying to do is add about 400 lockers and each of their 5 combinations to eSchool plus. Not necessarily assign to a specific student.

Hi @samielee09

You can refer to this document: Lockers-mass-update-page. However, mass update probably wouldn't add the lockers themselves. So, you can also review the upload/download definition page process that would allow for reg_locker and reg_locker_combo to be uploaded.

Hello, I am following the steps you outlined, however, I keep getting the following error in red:

Not imported: Validation error for field: students.student_number Value(Student_Number) - Value must be an integer AND Validation error for field: students.student_number Value(Student_Number) - Value must be a number
